Tip n°37 : Fasting (Part 2)

Today let's continue our visit that began last week in this strange 😳 and sometimes frightening 😱 land that is the practice of FASTING 💦💧💦. The primary objective of these two articles is to demystify this practice which, we sometimes forget 🙄, has always been in our genes. During a fast, our body undertakes an enormous amount of detoxification 🚮 and cellular recycling 🧹 , the latter phenomenon being called 'autophagy'. Do you know what this scholarly word really means ❓❓❓ It comes from the Greek ‘phagein’ = to eat and ‘autos’ = oneself… yes, yes you read correctly: you eat yourself ❗🍴❗


And even if you don't suddenly transform into a little cannibal 😅, you are indeed carrying out important work of sorting and cleaning the inside of your cells ❗🧹🧹🧹 : sick or damaged elements are eliminated by self-digestion and replaced by completely new structures 👍. So, we keep what is good and get rid of what is no longer useful 🙌 This process takes place throughout our lives but it slows down considerably with age . This slowdown plays a major role in the aging process and the occurrence of diseases 🤕 because waste accumulates, which compromises the proper functioning of our cells 😬. This mechanism is so important that it has even been the subject of two Nobel Prizes 🏆❗ But that's not all 😃❗


Removing food intake triggers an increase in the production of a whole cascade of hormones and neurotransmitters 📈 of which here are two examples: ❇️ Serotonin often called “the happiness hormone” 😃. It stabilizes our emotions, our mood, reduces anxiety and brings a deep feeling of well-being 😌. ✅ Growth hormone which is a master hormone with a powerful anti-aging effect. Some people sometimes pay a lot of money to obtain it in injectable form...stimulating its secretion through fasting 💧 will be much more economical 😉 but will above all be much more physiological, that is to say natural 👍. OK, we understood all this and then ❓❓❓ What exactly are the benefits for our health ❓❓❓ Come on, here we go... in bulk and in disorder because they are all important:


👉 Weight and body fat loss 👉 Reduced inflammation 👉 Improvement or even cure of type 2 diabetes (remember, insulin sensitivity is greatly improved) 👉 Reduction in cholesterol levels 👉 Incredible boost for our immune system 👉 Increased our energy, mental clarity and focus 👉 Rejuvenation and doping of our neurons and possible prevention of neurological pathologies such as Alzheimer’s disease 👉 Cancer prevention 👉 Improved our heart health 👉 Improvement of food intolerances 👉 Decreased blood pressure ETC., ETC ...


It’s a real makeover 💃🕺💃 that allows us to live better and longer ❗ ⚠️ BUT, because there is a BUT ⚠️: fasting is not suitable for everyone and it should NOT be undertaken if you are very thin, under 18 years old, pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting if you are sick, have health problems or if you are taking medication. Follow-up by a professional 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ will be necessary.
