Tip 4 : Breakfast

Updated: Sep 5, 2022

Often I am asked for BREAKFAST ideas 🥐🥣🍳...small problem 🤔...I'm not much for giving menus away 🙂...

We are all different 👩🏼🦰👨🏽🦰🧔🏼 What fits some, doesn't fit others ... needs aren't the same either ...

But hey ... as the question often comes up ... I adapt 😉😉😉!

I can give you some ideas, can't I❓❓❓

Some of the following comes from Mark Tucker, nutritherapist.

"De-fasting" or "Break-fast" means breaking the overnight fast 😴💤🛏.

Contrary to some popular belief, it is not necessary to eat in the morning🙅🏻, interrupting this overnight fast can occur at midday 🕛.

Often the digestive system needs time to wake up ⏰ sometimes several hours. In fact, it is normal not to be hungry in the morning ...

You have to respect this need and eat only if you are hungry 😩😩😩.

And if you are "afraid" 😱 of being hungry afterwards ... well take a small snack with you ... a small healthy snack 😉😉😉 ... such as fruit 🍌🍓🍊 with oilseeds 🐿 (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashew, macadamia, pecans, brazil nuts etc).

That being said, after an 8-hour fast (a night's sleep 💤 ), the first foods eaten are crucial to our physical and psychic health👍.

The quality of your first meal will influence the quality of the food eaten later in the day and will condition the digestion of the next meal.

It is therefore important to start the day with a healthy and balanced meal 🙏🙏🙏.

In fact, it is often aberrant 😯😯😯 to eat breakfast very early and often very badly because we are in a hurry 🏃🏻 and then just like that "it is done" 🙌.

Breakfasts are often packed with sugars (white bread 🥖, jam , cereals 🥣, choco, milk🥛 ).

These foods will weaken 😞your body.

All these sugars are also responsible for the hypoglycemia responsible for the hunger that occurs a few hours after 🙃🙃🙃 and go ahead, you rush on sweet ... again 😳😳😳.

Enough theory, you want some ideas💡💡💡???

Here they are:

First the basic recipe :

👉1 small cup of oilseeds (various seeds are also oilseeds: squash, sunflower, flax, etc) +

👉 ½ cup of dried fruit (dates, figs, apricots, sultanas, prunes...) OR 2 tbsp of raw honey +

👉 1 to 2 fresh fruits to mix with the first ingredients or to add in pieces.

Option: if you wish, you can mix the whole with a little water💧or a little vegetable milk (rice, almond, coconut, hazelnut, oat, etc) for the right consistency and add a little extra for taste 😄: vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, lemon 🍋 or orange zest 🍊.

This basic recipe can be declined endlessly ♾♾♾... come on, I'm exaggerating a bit ... :

✅ Fresh fruit + oilseeds

✅ Fruit salad + oilseed

✅ Fruit compote (hot or cold) + some dried fruit + nuts of choice or oilseed puree.

✅ Apple, steamed (10 minutes) + 1 tbsp of almond puree + 1 tsp of maple syrup + some crushed almonds + cinnamon. Serve the apple warm.

✅ 1 banana (mashed) + 1 tbsp sesame (or almond) puree + 1 apple (grated) + maple syrup or agave syrup or honey.

✅ Oatmeal porridge + some dried fruit + 1 tsp of almond puree.

Note: sweet fruit 🍌🍐🍏 will not mix with sour fruit 🥝.

Lemon 🍋 and avocado 🥑 are an exception.

Melons🍈 and watermelons 🍉 (watermelon) are eaten on their own ... and yes ... that's darn

😭🥲😭 so for the melon and parma ham!!!

But hey ... I say it so often ... you can eat anything, it's all about balance ... so long live the melon and parma ham 😄😄😄!!!

And the bread then ❓❓❓

A good wholemeal bread (wholemeal wheat or better: spelt, or even small spelt if you can find it, buckwheat, rye) with a little butter 🧈 honey 🍯 an oilseed puree, an avocado 🥑... huuuuummmmm ... 😋😋😋 this is good too!!!

And for the savoury fans 🧂:

✅ Vegetables (can be in broth) + a SMALL bowl of rice

✅ English breakfast from time to time ... yes, it's heavy but it's good ... without the bread please .

✅ Eggs 🥚 with vegetables and/or tomatoes 🍅 cooked

Note: for eggs it is better to eat them hard boiled, soft or fried 🍳.

If these breakfasts are new to you, give your body time 🕐 to get used to them ... there is no point in putting too much pressure on it 😬!!! It might take him a little time to adjust ⏳.

So be nice 😊 to him ... make these changes 👣 step by step 👣 at first.

For example, once a week to start, at your own pace ... and also ... at the pace of the people around you 😉😉😉!!!

Come on, have a good breakfast. 😊, have a good day 🌿, vive la vie 🍀 and ✨✨✨ Miam la Vie ✨✨✨ ... see you next week ❤️!
